Winter in the Albuquerque area didn't go without a fight as a storm that began on the eve of spring made for plenty of travel troubles.
Interstate 40 east of the Albuquerque metro area was a mess, with parts of the interstate shutting down for up to 15 hours overnight Friday because of multiple accidents and dangerous conditions.
A stretch of Interstate 25 north of Albuquerque was closed for a few hours early Saturday morning.
While there were fender benders and accidents, state and local police didn't report any serious injuries.
State police reported 29 non-injury accidents and 18 injury accidents within a 24-hour period.
Albuquerque police noted many accidents as morning snow fell.
