US House approves $600 million in military aid for Israel

‘The US House of Representatives has approved a bill that would grant Israel over $600 million of American taxpayers’ money in military aid.
The military aid package is part of the National Defense Authorization Act for 2015 adopted Thursday by members of the House, which is controlled by a pro-Israel Republican majority.
The legislation authorizes $350.9 million for Israel’s Iron Dome missile system and $268.7 million for its David’s Sling and Arrow 3 missile programs.
According to an amendment to the NDAA, the adoption of the act by US lawmakers stresses that it is “the policy of the United States to take all necessary steps to ensure that Israel possesses and maintains an independent capability to remove existential threats to its security and defend its vital national interests.”’
