For some reason many of our leaders have some weird fixation with
job-killing “free trade” agreements that cater to the corporatists of
society. We saw it with the presidents of the past — Reagan, Clinton,
and both of the Bushes. Now we’re beginning to see it with our current
President, Barack Obama.
President Obama’s apparent love with “free trade” is a bit odd
considering that fact that, before becoming president, he was opposed to
“free trade” agreements such as CAFTA and NAFTA. In fact, he claimed as
a Senator that “free trade” is bad for America! Then he became
