Regulators on Friday closed a bank in Georgia, bringing the nationwide tally of bank failures to four for the year to date.
LaGrange, Ga.-based Frontier Bank was closed by the Georgia Department
of Banking and Finance. Albany, Ga.-based HeritageBank of the South
agreed to take over the failed bank as part of a purchase-and-assumption
deal with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. It was Georgia's first
