The Prince of Wales has said he finds the views of climate change sceptics "extraordinary".
The heir to the throne made the comment in an interview with ITV's new breakfast show hosts Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley to highlight his cross-country campaign to promote sustainable living.
Charles has spent the past week travelling around the UK encouraging the public to make simple changes to their lifestyle to help combat climate change.
His chat with Chiles and Bleakley from the Daybreak programme was filmed on Thursday evening in the garden of Clarence House.
Asked by Bleakley what he thought of climate change doubters, the Prince responded: "I find it extraordinary. To me it seems sensible to take a precautionary approach.
"Clearly something is going very wrong. I would say to sceptics - it may be convenient to believe all these greenhouse gases we are pouring into the atmosphere disappear through holes conveniently into space, but it doesn't work like that."
He warned that living on the planet would be "no fun at all" for future generations unless people took action to combat climate change.
"Personally I'm not prepared to see your children be handed a completely malfunctioning planetary system," he said.
Charles has been touring the country since Monday as part of his Start initiative - which aims to encourage the public to move towards a more sustainable lifestyle.
