Greece
does not have a gap in its financing a spokesman for EU Economic and
Monetary Affairs Commissioner Ollie Rehn said on Wednesday.
Spokesman Simon O’Connor's comments were made in the wake of a report published by Germany’s daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung.
“German press reports of a 10 billion euro financing gap in Greece are wrong. The programme is fully funded for the next 12 months,” said O’Connor. “Any subsequent gap in the funding of the programme for Greece will be addressed in due course on the basis of facts not speculation."
