Early in the year the Kuwaiti oil fires were set alight. Around 6 million barrels (950,000 m3) of oil were lost each day. This resulted in a lot of CO2 going into the atmosphere.
Later in the year Mount Pinatubo erupted. This resulted in a lot more CO2 going into the atmosphere.
If we take a look at the atmospheric CO2 concentrations for 1991 we see that the level of CO2 measured in the atmosphere in January 1991 is nearly identical to that measured in December 1991.
If this doesn't demonstrate that mankind has nothing to do with atmospheric CO2 levels then nothing will.
