CBC Documentary to Break JPM Whistle-Blower Testimony on Gold & Silver Manipulation

The CFTC is sitting on information that implicates JPMorgan as manipulating the futures market in Silver and Gold.  The reason this is so damning is that the CFTC has evidence that incriminates JPM as having malicious short positions designed to influence the price action of Silver and Gold towards JPM’s favor; akin to the LIBOR scandal in which rates were manipulated down towards the banks favor.  -JPM Whistle-blower
The PM community has been waiting over a decade to see the gold and silver manipulation story go mainstream, as the LIBOR scandal did last summer.
As of 9pm EST tonight, the wait is over…
At 9pm EST tonight, Thursday 4/18, the CBC is set to broadcast The Secret World of Gold, a detailed documentary exploring the co-ordinated manipulation of precious metals:
The Secret World of Gold is a documentary exploring the power and politics of gold, a precious metal with more allure and fascination than any other.  Valued for its permanence, beauty and scarcity, people will lie, cheat, steal and kill in the name of gold.
To finance the Third Reich, the Nazis went after the gold of Europe. Allied countries stored their gold offshore to keep it safe. In the first months of the Second World War, the gold of England and France was secretly shipped to vaults in Montreal, Ottawa and New York.
Those ships made it safely to port, but throughout history, many were not so lucky. It is estimated that worldwide, 3 million shipwrecks loaded with treasure lie at the bottom of the ocean. Odyssey Marine, an American company listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange, spends huge amounts of money to search for that gold. But there’s always the risk they will have to hand it over to countries claiming ownership.
In recent years, economic uncertainty is giving gold a new lustre in the world of high finance. Whether it’s a few gold coins or gold bars stored in one of the many vaults around the world, many investors are taking a shine to gold. But there’s not a lot of it. It is said that, even melted down, there would not be enough to fill an Olympic swimming pool.
Some claim that much of the gold held by the Bank of Canada, the Bank of England, the Federal Reserve and Fort Knox is gone — that for every 100 ounces of gold traded, there exists only one ounce of real, physical gold. So, where is the gold — and who really owns it?
Directed by Brian McKenna for Galafilm with CBC-TV.

As the Montreal Gazette reports, the program was originally developed as a historical documentary, until the director discovered a whistle-blower :
Brian McKenna didn’t predict the recent nosedive in gold prices, but he knows someone who did.
“Andy sent me an email early Friday morning,” recounted the Montreal director. “He said, ‘There’s a big event happening. Someone’s dumping 500 tons of gold into the market.’ That ended up driving the price down by $78 an ounce. And 500 tons is 16 million ounces — we’re talking about a serious intervention here. Who’s got that kind of money?”
“Andy” is Andrew Maguire, a key source in McKenna’s fascinating new film The Secret World of Gold, which premières Thursday at 9 p.m. on CBC-TV. The hour-long documentary plunges into the dramatically rich narrative of gold, unveiling some shocking facts along the way.
“I was just going to do a history piece, until I stumbled over a whistle-blower,” McKenna said.
Those who would like a preview of the documentary can listen to this interview provided by the CBC of Director Brian McKenna.  Portion on gold & silver manipulation begins at the 10:00 mark.
The explosive CBC documentary has been in the works for over a year, since a JPM whistle-blower on March 15th, 2012 alleged that JPMorgan was manipulating the price of gold and silver in a note posted on the CFTC’s website, and taken viral after it was posted by SD.
The whistle-blower was placed in contact with Andrew Maguire shortly after, who upon reviewing the information and documents the JPM employee had obtained documenting the alleged manipulation of gold and silver, assisted in making an official filing to the CFTC.  At the time, Maguire believed the evidence of malicious price manipulation in the gold & silver market was so compelling that the CFTC would be forced to act on the information.
To no surprise however, the CFTC reportedly sat on the information, making no public announcements or actions over the past 9 months, while the whistle-blower left JPM & fled to China for safety.
As a result, the whistle-blower has been left no other recourse than to pursue public exposure, resulting in the CBC’s The Secret World of Gold documentary.
The story was partially leaked through the PM blogosphere last August, with both GATA’s Bill Murphy and TFMetalsReport’s Turd Ferguson predicting an explosive and historic move in silver last August out of expectations that the information would be released and acted upon by the CFTC, as in the words of Andrew Maguire, the documentation provided by the JPM whistle-blower was damning evidence, & everything we could want to prove gold & silver are in fact manipulated.
August, September, & October came & went however without any action by the CFTC.
In response, the (now former employee) JPMorgan whistle-blower who submitted the information to the CFTC alleged in October of 2012:
The CFTC is sitting on information that implicates JPMorgan as manipulating the futures market in Silver and Gold.  The reason this is so damning is that the CFTC has evidence that incriminates JPM as having malicious short positions designed to influence the price action of Silver and Gold towards JPM’s favor; akin to the LIBOR scandal in which rates were manipulated down towards the banks favor.
Now that the CBC documentary is scheduled to air tonight, and GATA has publicized it as well, the time has come to force exposure and bring the metals manipulation story into the mainstream- particularly in the wake of this week’s blatant & historic take-down of the gold and silver markets.
The documentary includes testimony from GATA’s Bill Murphy, Eric Sprott, CFTC whistle-blower Andrew Maguire, as well as the JPMorgan employee whistle-blower testimony among others.
Bullion bank silver shorts have most likely been covering in mass all week into the silver massacre, and we’ll soon have the data to make the case.  Many have speculated that the bullion banks are going to switch to a net long position.
Given the fact that the bullion bankers were no doubt aware of the impending release of tonight’s documentary as well as that at $22/oz, pretty much all existing shorts taken out before this week will be in the money, we believe it is highly likely that Jim Sinclair’s recent call that the bullion bankers were flipping net long was 100% accurate and the bullion banks have exited the majority of their recent 200 million ounce net short position over the past week by covering into the epic gold and silver raid.
Along with the London Whale JPMorgan ICD9 debacle, the LIBOR scandal was one of the largest financial stories to break in all of 2012.    Metals manipulation is the London Whale & LIEBORGATE rolled into one single scandal.
Please spread the news throughout the blogosphere to make sure as many as possibly are tuned into CBC at 9pm EST tonight!

Obama’s Budget Rescues the Pentagon

Under the Boston bombings false flag cover: Obama’s Budget Rescues the Pentagon
10 Apr 2013 Although the White House doesn’t advertise this fact in the six-page budget overview it put out this morning, the new budget eliminates nearly all of the cuts that sequestration imposes on the Pentagon. Instead of $500 billion in cuts, Obama proposes only $100 billion, and you have to look closely to spot it (“$200 billion in additional discretionary savings, with equal amounts from defense and nondefense programs”)… Indeed, when you cut through all the numbers, Obama and House Republicans are only $100 billion apart (the GOP budget restores the full $500 billion).

Apple stock plunges on fears of missed earnings

Apple's stock sank 5.6% in midday trading on Wednesday following a report from a key supplier that indicated sales could be slowing.
On Tuesday, Cirrus Logic, which supplies audio chips for iPhones and iPads, said sales of one of its chips was slipping. That led investors and some analysts to infer that Apple sales were also sliding, spooking shareholders one week before the company is scheduled to report earnings.
TIMELINE: Following Apple in 2012
Apple's stock fell 5.6% or $23.89 to $402.35 just after 12:30 p.m. EDT. Apple stock has not closed below $400 since late 2011.

Leading indicators suggest slowing growth

By Ruth Mantell, MarketWatch
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — The economy “has lost some steam” and will grow slowly in the near term, the Conference Board said Thursday as it reported that its leading economic index ticked down in March.
The LEI declined 0.1% last month, following three months of gains.
Economists polled by MarketWatch had expected the index to rise 0.2% in March. In February, the LEI rose 0.5%.
“In addition to headwinds from government spending cuts, the private sector economy may struggle to maintain its momentum,” said Ken Goldstein, a Conference Board economist. “The biggest challenge remains weak demand, due to nervous consumer sentiment and slow income growth.”

Looking at longer-term trends, the LEI is picking up speed. Over the six months through March, the LEI rose 1.6%, compared with a gain of 0.1% over the prior six months.
The LEI is a weighted gauge of 10 indicators designed to signal business-cycle peaks and troughs. Among the 10 indicators tracked by the Conference Board’s index, five made positive contributions in March, led by the interest-rate spread. Other positive contributions came from a leading-credit index, stock prices, manufacturers’ new orders for core capital goods and manufacturers’ new orders for consumer goods and materials.
The largest negative contribution came from consumers’ expectations. Other negative contributions came from building permits, a manufacturing new-orders index, weekly manufacturing hours and weekly jobless claims.
Elsewhere Thursday, the government reported that U.S. initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits were nearly unchanged in the most recent weekly data.
In addition, the Philadelphia Federal Reserve said Thursday that U.S. manufacturers in the Philadelphia region continued to expand their business in April, but just barely, and companies were less eager to hire new workers.

The Next Seizure Coming – U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

All the information we are getting is this is very real. There is almost $20 trillion in pension funds. That would pay off the national debt at $17 trillion. These people are actually discussing a FORCED loan whereby they will take over all pension funds to “protect” us with bureaucrats who know nothing about managing money. We are headed down the road of CONFISCATION of all assets – FASCISM in full bloom. There is of course no constitutional authority for that but with no rule of law left, that will no longer stop anybody.
These people will NEVER go quietly into the light. They are going to go screaming, kicking, biting, and shooting everything and everyone in their way. This is the problem moving to electronic money. Where to you put anything any more? You cannot leave with pockets of gold. You cannot store it in a bank. The majority will remain stupid and think they really care. What kind of a world are we headed into? As I said. The day will come after 2015.75 when you will PRAY for HYPERINFLATION.

We are moving there faster than you think. The next crisis will do the job.

Asia “Buys the Dip” in Gold, Western Physical Demand Also Jumps But ETF Outflows Continue

Asia “Buys the Dip” in Gold, Western Physical Demand Also Jumps But ETF Outflows Continue

WHOLESALE prices for buying gold climbed briefly above $1400 an ounce Thursday morning, having bounced from a $50-an-ounce drop overnight, with dealers reporting strong demand for physical bullion in Asia.

In Hong Kong and Macau, the number of customers visiting stores run by the world’s biggest jewelry chain, Chow Tai Fook, jumped by a quarter in the period between Saturday and Tuesday, Bloomberg reports.

“I think if prices fail to break through $1300, people will buy back,” says one gold dealer in Hong Kong.

“Asia is a good buyer of gold this year. Stocks at refiners have suddenly disappeared after prices dropped more than $200 [an ounce], and it takes time to manufacture gold bars. Supply is a bit tight. Premiums will move higher next week.”

“The culture in Asia is such that they will absorb the physical metal when the price drops,” adds Dick Poon, Hong Kong-based general manager at refiner Heraeus.

“Jewelry demand is improving and industrial customers are also buying on the dip.”

India, traditionally the world’s biggest gold buying nation, has this week seen its strongest demand so far this year, according to the All India Gems & Jewellery Federation. Thailand and Japan have also seen a strong rise in gold sales, according to local press reports.

Western investors have also shown signs of renewed appetite for bullion since gold’s price drop. Users of BullionVault, the world’s largest gold and silver provider to private investors online, were net buyers of gold for the first time in a week on Wednesday, with inflows of cash outpacing withdrawals by a wide margin.

The US Mint meantime sold 77,000 ounces of American Eagle gold coins during Tuesday and Wednesday, compared to just 62,000 ounces for the whole of March.

“Gold was set up for having a proper correction,” says well-known investor Jim Rogers.

“This may be the proper correction and, if so, then it will make a bottom and we can all buy gold again because it is going to be much higher over the decade.”

The world’s biggest gold exchange traded fund meantime continued to see outflows Wednesday.

The total volume of gold backing shares in the SPDR Gold Trust (ticker: GLD), fell to 1134.8 tonnes, down from 1221.3 tonnes at the start of this month. Holdings of all gold ETFs tracked by Bloomberg are down 3.5% to 2364.9 tonnes this month.

Like gold, silver bounced off an overnight low to end Thursday morning in London back above $23.50 an ounce, while stocks and commodities regained some ground after this week’s losses and US Treasuries dipped.

Japan’s exports to the US in the year to end March were up 10% from a year earlier, while exports to China dropped 9%, making the US the number one destination for Japanese exports for the first time since 2009, figures published by the country’s finance ministry Thursday show.

“This weakness [of exports to China] is more structural than cyclical,” Kyohei Morita, chief economist at Barclays in Tokyo.

China’s annualized economic growth rate slowed to 7.7% in the first quarter, according to figures released by Beijing earlier this week, down from 7.9% in the previous quarter. Ratings agency Moody’s lowered its outlook on China from ‘positive’ to ‘stable’ this week, noting concerns over local government debt levels.

In Washington, leaders meeting for the G20 meeting that begins today are expected to commit their countries not to weaken their currencies with a view to gaining a trade advantage, Bloomberg reports. A similar pledge was made in aG7 statement earlier this year.

A month before that statement, Bank of England governor Mervyn King told an audience in Belfast that “between late 2007 and the beginning of 2009…an adjustment of Sterling…was certainly necessary for a full rebalancing of our economy”.

Italy’s parliament began voting on a new president Thursday, with the bloc led by Pier Luigi Bersani’s Democratic Party – which won the most votes of any alliance in February’s general election but not enough to form a government – nominating former Senate speaker Franco Marini, who was rejected in this morning’s first round of voting.

Once a president is elected their first task will be to preside over the forming of a government, which will involve either a coalition of rival parties, fresh elections, or the appointment of another technocrat prime minister.

Has Exxon Mobil Tried to Cover Up the Truth at Arkansas Oil Spill?

By Joao Peixe | Wed, 17 April 2013 21:45 | 2

It was two weeks ago that Exxon Mobil’s (NYSE: XOM) Pegasus pipeline ruptured, spilling hundreds of thousands of gallons of oil into the town of Mayflower, Arkansas, and I think it is about time that someone called it what it is … a grade A f**k-up!
Contaminated water has leaked into Lake Conway, local residents have fallen ill from the toxic fumes, lawsuits have been filed, a severe thunderstorm in the area caused complications with the clean-up efforts, and to top this off, in an attempt to keep all of this quiet Exxon Mobil has tried to intimidate the local media and block coverage.

The latest detail that has intrigued the media is the revelation that the break in the pipe was 22 feet long, not a small, innocent, rupture then. A 22 foot rupture suggests a huge amount of pressure within the pipe, which then raises new questions about the cause of the spill.

Attorney General McDaniel told Rachel Maddow of MSNBC; “I think when people found out that there was a rupture and there was a 65-year-old pipeline, I think that almost everybody assumed that there was some small crack due to age. The rupture was 22 feet long. Twenty-two feet is not something one would think would happen gradually. So now we’re starting to ask all new questions.”
