Dear friends who've just viewed the National Geographic Conspiracy Theory on 9/11,

Thank you for taking time to come here and find our contact information in order to share your thoughts. We ask that if you are interested enough in this issue to write us hate mail because you actually believe the nonsense National Geographic states we "all believe" that you take a few minutes to click on a couple of the links to your left, in the "New to 9/11" section. What you will find is that essentially nothing that producer presented as the "beliefs" of "Truthers" actually reflects the real questions being asked by 9/11 truth advocates, as represented at this website.

This silly attempt to boil down the "Truthers" (what, people who are not actively pursuing answers to 9/11 questions are not in favor of truth? ridiculous...) to a few people who believe there was no plane at the Pentagon and the buildings were brought down by "thermite" is just that -- silly. Since you've come this far, why not have a look at a few of the 40 Questions or the Family Report Card and ask yourself why, after nearly eight long years, family members and other Americans are still wanting for answers to these core questions ... and ask yourselves why you're still not allowed to have those answers. And have a look at the articles on the front page at 911research.com or Journal of 9/11 Studies, and learn what the scientists are actually saying in their recently published peer-reviewed article. (No, it's not "thermite".)

We will attempt to issue a more thorough response within the next few days, particularly highlighting statements from those scientists (physicists, chemists, engineers) interviewed by National Geographic but not represented in the final edit. In the meantime, a brief review of these links will provide you with a much more accurate picture as to why millions of Americans (and our neighbors around the world) are still demanding a full investigation, restoration of our civil liberties, and truth-telling so that finally, accountability and closure will be forthcoming.

After this short effort at due diligence, if you still feel inclined to send us hate mail because you choose to believe the self-serving falsehoods served up by your corporate media, please feel free to do so. We'll be publishing a few of your more brilliant statements in our "Humor" section soon. Thank you.

As 9/11’s 8th anniversary approaches

As 9/11/2009 approaches with the end of summer, marking an end of innocence for America, the two major groups of 9/11 activists have announced their agendas for activities before, on, and after 9/11.

Journalists, activists, questioners and answerers from around the world will participate. We Are Change will hold events beginning on Thursday, Sept. 10, through Saturday, Sept. 12. We Demand Transparency will similarly hold events from Saturday, Sept. 10, through Sunday, Sept. 13.

If “change” and “transparency” characterize the group issues, the gauntlet was thrown on the airwaves last Tuesday by Kevin Barrett [from the latter group] on his Fair and Balanced radio show. The gauntlet was laid down as well by 9/11Truth independent researcher, journalist, author Christopher Bollyn, focusing on his new online book, Solving 9-11: The Deception that Changed the World.

(My humble reading — among many other speakers — of some 9/11 poems from my book, State Of Shock, for We Are Change’s Saturday 5 PM event seems quiet by contrast.)

But then, bless his soul, that’s Bollyn, who bears the name [in sound] of King Henry’s second wife, Anne, who ended as many of her predecessors: at the chop-shop. That’s a little sick, but I truly love his writing, his courage, and his cry for truth (as well as Kevin Barrett’s). In fact, they broke a story last Tuesday morning on “the extremely serious implications of the discovery of super-thermite in the dust of the World Trade Center.”

In a statement from Chris’s website, Bollyn wrote, “I hope we will have time to discuss the Israeli programs to develop nano-thermite at their illegal nuclear weapons complex near Dimona in the Negev Desert. It should be noted that Israel’s illegal nuclear arsenal was built by Shimon Peres, the current president of Israel and Capo di tutti capi, or head of the international Zionist crime gang based in Tel Aviv. The super-thermite used on 9-11 was developed four years prior to September 11, 2001, at Israel’s Nuclear Research Center – Negev near Dimona, and in affiliated Israeli universities and institutions. Shimon Peres’ best friend, Arnon Milchan, is the owner of one of Israel’s largest chemical companies.”

If that weren’t enough, he added, “Obtaining nano-size iron oxide and aluminum to create super-thermite is no problem for an old weapons smuggler like Milchan, who smuggled nuclear triggers to Israel in the 1980s. Peres’ gang members have stolen plutonium from Pennsylvania and hijacked shiploads of uranium to build their nuclear arsenal and have never been held to account. The Mossadniks who smuggled plutonium to Israel later tried to get the security contract for the World Trade Center, as I write about in my book. Israeli scientists simply took American and European nano-technology for energetic films and tweaked them to suit their purpose to pulverize the World Trade Center on 9-11.”

And . . .”Super-thermite was used to pulverize the Twin Towers. The architects of this false-flag terror never thought that traces of their nano-thermite would be found in the dust. They were wrong. This advanced nano-composite explosive was evidently applied to the interior surfaces of the WTC as a thin film, like a primer or spray coating. Remaining bi-layered chips of this super-thermite detonated at 430 degrees Celsius and released more energy per mass than any other known explosive used in demolition (Jones, 2009). The only questions left to be answered are: Who made the stuff? and Who put it in the Twin Towers? We can say with a high degree of certainty that it was not Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaida. There is no Arab state or army that has access to this level of nano-technology. This means the government and media have been lying to us about 9-11 for 8 years.”

Do we need all this now? Is it for real or a distraction? First, yes. Second, we’ll see.

To punctuate Bollyn’s ire, there was an older photo of him with a blackened eye and purple cheeks and a broken arm in a sling, taken recently after his Chicago neighborhood cops did a number on him in front of his wife and kids for being Chris Bollyn: which meant blowing the whistle louder, longer, and with more of a ring of truth about Zionism than you are likely to ever read. And there was just more of it this time, an amazing 338-page “free book” to download in chapters, or by the story, or by the pound of blood, sweat and tears it had taken Bollyn to write it.

Or course, Kevin, dear fellow, a booted professor emeritus for his truth-speaking, had his own opening sally to Bollyn’s interview in his Monday release, “Ever noticed how those of us in the 9/11 truth movement who mention the elephant in the living room — the evidence of Mossad/Zionist involvement, and more generally Zionist political power in the USA — get slandered, reviled, set up, threatened, verbally and sometimes physically assaulted, kicked off 911blogger, libeled at Wikipedia, and generally mistreated?”

Well, yes, Kevin, come to think of it, I have. And I’ve lost a few old friends, gotten a few threats and had a few viruses planted on my old hard drive. It comes with the turf. Barrett added, “(Compare the Wikipedia biographies for me and Christopher Bollyn to those of . . . well, pick any 9/11 truth advocates who ignore the Israeli connection.) I am acquainted with top-tier 9/11 truth leaders who know perfectly well the Zionists did it, but ‘won’t go there’ because, they tell me (in one case at least) they are literally afraid for their lives.

“Ha! As a Muslim, I know that martyrdom is the quickest way to paradise ” [now there’s chutzpah if not a great Muslim sense of humor], “So here’s my message to the Zionist operatives, including the truth movement infiltrators who have been torturing me for several years now: BRING IT ON. And get a load of this explosive interview I just did with Sander Hicks, who is running it on page one of

WeDemandTransparency.com – -First question: “Do you believe the holocaust happened?” Yabadabadoo!

“It garnered some angry ‘take me off the list you holocaust denier’ messages from people who apparently hadn’t actually read the interview, in which I don’t deny any of the many holocausts . . . and also some equally angry messages from people who DO deny that the Nazis killed six million Jews in gas chambers, including one calling me a ‘Jewish punk’ and suggesting to somebody who goes by jewlessworld@live.com’ that he should deal with me . . .” Okay, folks, so we’re off and running. “Boys [and girls] just like to have fun,” like the song says.

But under this pounding rhetoric, truth, and passion, yes, genuine, real passion, the souls of the dead are still seeking justice, their missed lives and truth. (I feel like I’m reading the Marquis de Queensbury rules at a Garden fight.) So, as we take the gloves off or put them on, remember the common goals: change and transparency. Or let’s keep a reasonably clear head as I was remanded by Jim Fetzer after I wrote Hirschorn’s 9/11 truth swill. Not that Jim hasn’t had a silly idea or two. But it’s all got to be more than running the bulls at Pamplona.

We still have a single purpose, to see what happened as clearly and as truthfully as possible on that horrific day. And even eight years later, to work off that energy to repair life, love and the republic, such as they are these days. As the bard said, the truth will out, even if it’s as dark as the orthodox Jewish scholar Lenni Brenner’s soon to be republished paperback, 51 Documents – Zionist Collaboration With the Nazis, a book that as scary to read as it was heroic to edit. And so, hard as truth, hard as life is to fathom sometimes, like 9/11 itself, we need also to keep an open mind, a sense of compassion, and even, dare I say, forgiveness. Unemployment Is Much Worse Than You Think

There's another disturbing trend in the unemployment data (as if the headline rate wasn't enough):

In the average recession, most job losses are attributed to temporary, cyclical factors--i.e., when the economy comes back, the jobs will, too. In this recession, however, more than half of jobs lost are gone for good.

PIMCO portfolio manager Tony Crescenzi explains (charts from Bloomberg):

Structural rather than cyclical influences on unemployment are running well above normal during the current recession, as is highlighted by the percentage of the unemployed that are “not on temporary layoff.”

Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that 53.9% of the unemployed were not on temporary layoff in August, up from 39.1% a year earlier and well above the 30-year average of about 34%. The current level is well above the peak of previous cycles, which tended to move above 40% and was as high as 44.9% in May 1992. Many job losses are occurring in industries with broken business models and jobs won’t return quickly. This will put downward pressure on wages.

In terms of numbers of people, data from the BLS show that 8.1 million people were characterized as "not on temporary layoff" in August, up from 7.880 million in July and 3.72 million a year earlier. The not-seasonally-adjusted figure for "Permanent" job losers totaled 6.406 million, up from 3.609 million. These figures represent a very large proportion of the roughly 7 million decline in nonfarm payrolls (the tally on payrolls is produced via a survey of business; the figures on unemployment and both the "not on temporary layoff" and "permanent" job losers categories are derived from the survey of households).

Does a College Degree Protect your Career? Unemployment Rate for College Graduates Highest on Record.

As many students begin applying for the 2010 academic school year, students are looking at an economic climate where endowments are hit, student loans are more restrictive, and parents have seen 529 plans sink along side their retirement plans. The upcoming school year will be highly competitive and expensive but will it be worth it? Now college itself isn’t a direct link to a career and many bristle when they hear about vocational training. Yet when someone is paying $50,000 a year, you have to ask what exactly you are paying for.

With the recent unemployment rate hitting 9.7 percent officially, the wider ranging U-6 rate hit a record of 16.8 percent. The market took the 216,000 job losses as good news but the recession is much deeper than the headlines are showing. If you dig deep into the report, you will find a few curious observations. First, the teenage unemployment rate is the highest in nearly half a century coming in at over 24.2 percent. Now this rate is always high but only in August of 2008, it was at 17.8 percent. Another observation in the report that we find is those with college degrees are facing the highest unemployment in two decades since records started being kept.

With college costs going through the roof and in many cases, costing nearly $50,000 a year at private schools many are asking whether some college degrees are even worth pursuing. Or more importantly, potential students are seeking answers regarding value. Let us look at this trend more closely:

You’ll find a curious trend here. Without a doubt, those with a college degree do better in the marketplace. Take a look at the recession in the early 1990s. A college degree seemed to be a better buffer at that time than our current recession. For the first time in record keeping history, the unemployment rate for those with 4-year degrees or higher has passed the 4 percent mark. Keep in mind that in the United States, only one in four has a bachelor’s degree or higher. We tend to think of this group as largely immune but in deep recessions like this one, a college degree no longer protects you from the fluctuations of the market.

The massive increase in college tuition needs to be explored. If you think about someone going to school to pursue a career in say social work, a noble career, is it really worth it to go into $100,000 to $150,000 in debt for a career that pays $30,000 to $40,000 a year? In a situation like this, a student may benefit by going to a lower priced state school instead of a private institution. Certainly many will go to top schools simply because of the implied pedigree of an institution especially if they want to enter into the top law firms or seek higher positions in certain corporate sectors. Yet many are realizing that too much college debt is not a good thing.

If you think this isn’t the case, just look at how many people are having trouble paying their student loan debt. Red means conditions have worsened and this is for 90+ days late year over year:

If you look at the population centers of California, Florida, Texas, and New York student loan debt has worsened practically in the entire state. Clearly the current economic recession has much to do with it but also, the fact that those with college degrees are losing jobs in large numbers as well. Many are no longer able to service their own debt. As we have mentioned, a college degree does not protect your job nor does it assure you in getting one. Some are even suing because of this:

“NEW YORK (CNN) – A recent college graduate is suing her alma mater for $72,000 — the full cost of her tuition and then some — because she cannot find a job.

Trina Thompson, 27, of the Bronx, graduated from New York’s Monroe College in April with a bachelor of business administration degree in information technology.

On July 24, she filed suit against the college in Bronx Supreme Court, alleging that Monroe’s “Office of Career Advancement did not help me with a full-time job placement. I am also suing them because of the stress I have been going through.”

What I find troubling is the idea that simply attending college is the ticket to a job. Also, what is more disturbing is many of the for profit institutions with no pedigree try to push people through to continue getting those nice loan checks each semester:

“In her complaint, Thompson says she seeks $70,000 in reimbursement for her tuition and $2,000 to compensate for the stress of her three-month job search.

As Thompson sees it, any reasonable employer would pounce on an applicant with her academic credentials, which include a 2.7 grade-point average and a solid attendance record. But Monroe’s career-services department has put forth insufficient effort to help her secure employment, she claims.

“They’re supposed to say, ‘I got this student, her attendance is good, her GPA is all right — can you interview this person?’ They’re not doing that,” she said.”

Good attendance? A disciplined worker with no college degree can be punctual 2.7 is not an “all right” GPA. The problem now is that we have someone with “subprime college debt” of $70,000 and no viable job prospects. It would be different if they had only say $10,000 in debt but $70,000 is simply incredible. And how many people are graduating like this into a terrible recession where employers have their pick of potential applicants?

The U.S. Treasury and Federal Reserve seem willing to bailout any mistake so it should be no surprise that students expect bailouts as well. They are simply following the lead of our central bank. It is also a question of what degrees are being awarded. While we had many chasing degrees in finance to pump out paper to increase the housing bubble, globally other nations focused on making actual things:

Even after adjusting lower, we can see why things will remain tough. The globe is hyper competitive now. Many entering college now face the challenge of examining what they want to do with their lives but also, dealing with the economics of a new financial age. A college degree was never a guarantee of a job or career security and this will only become a stronger rule in the future.

False flag operations

Was 9/11 a false flag operation? A false flag operation occurs when elements within a government stage a secret operation whereby government forces secretly pretend to be a targeted enemy while attacking their own forces or people. The attack is then falsely blamed on the enemy to justify going to war against that enemy.

The term comes from the old days of wooden ships, when one ship would hang the flag of its enemy before attacking another ship in its own navy. Because the enemy's flag was hung instead of the flag of the real country of the attacking ship, it was called a "false flag."

There are many examples of false flag attacks through history. For example, it is widely known that the Nazis, in Operation Himmler, faked attacks on their own people and resources which they blamed on the Poles, to justify the invasion of Poland.

And it has now been persuasively argued — as shown, for example, in this History Channel video — that Nazis set fire to their own parliament, the Reichstag, and blamed that fire on others. The Reichstag fire was the watershed event which justified Hitler's seizure of power and suspension of liberties.

And in the early 1950s, agents of an Israeli terrorist cell operating in Egypt planted bombs in several buildings, including U.S. diplomatic facilities, then left behind "evidence" implicating the Arabs as the culprits (one of the bombs detonated prematurely, allowing the Egyptians to identify the bombers). Israel's Defense Minister was brought down by the scandal, along with the entire Israeli government. Click here for verification.

The Russian KGB apparently conducted a wave of bombings in Russia in order to justify war against Chechnya and put Vladimir Putin into power (see also this essay and this report). And the Turkish government has been caught bombing its own and blaming it on a rebel group in order to justify a crackdown on that group. Muslim governments also play this game. For example, the well-respected former Indonesian president claimed that their government had a role in the Bali bombings.

This sounds nuts, right? You've never heard of this "false flag terrorism," where a government attacks its own people then blames others in order to justify its goals, right? And you are skeptical of the statements discussed above? Please take a look at these historical quotes:

"If tyranny and oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy." - U.S. President James Madison

"Why of course the people don't want war ... But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship ... Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." - Hermann Goering, Nazi leader.

What about the U.S.?

Is it logical to assume that, even if other countries have carried out false flag operations (especially horrible regimes such as, say, the Nazis or Stalin), the U.S. has never done so? Well, as documented by the New York Times, Iranians working for the C.I.A. in the 1950's posed as Communists and staged bombings in Iran in order to turn the country against its democratically-elected president (see also this essay).

And, as confirmed by a former Italian Prime Minister, an Italian judge, and the former head of Italian counterintelligence, NATO, with the help of the Pentagon and CIA, carried out terror bombings in Italy and blamed communists, in order to rally people’s support for their governments in Europe in their fight against communism. As one participant in this formerly-secret program stated: "You had to attack civilians, people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple. They were supposed to force these people, the Italian public, to turn to the state to ask for greater security."

Moreover, recently declassified U.S. Government documents show that in the 1960s, the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff signed off on a plan code-named Operation Northwoods to blow up American airplanes (using an elaborate plan involving the switching of airplanes), and also to commit terrorist acts on American soil, and then to blame it on the Cubans in order to justify an invasion of Cuba. The operation was not carried out only because the Kennedy administration refused to implement these Pentagon plans.

For lots more on the astonishing Operation Northwoods, see the ABC news report; the official declassified documents; and watch this interview with James Bamford, the former Washington Investigative Producer for ABC's World News Tonight with Peter Jennings. One quote from the Northwoods documents states: "A 'Remember the Maine' incident could be arranged: We could blow up a US ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba. Casualty lists in US newspapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation."

What about Al-Qaeda?

You might think Al-Qaeda is different. It is very powerful, organized, and out to get us, right? Consider this Los Angeles Times article, reviewing a BBC documentary entitled The Power of Nightmares, which shows that the threat from Al Qaeda has been vastly overblown (and see this article on who is behind the hype). And former National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski testified to the Senate that the war on terror is "a mythical historical narrative."

And did you know that the FBI had penetrated the cell which carried out the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, but had – at the last minute – cancelled the plan to have its FBI infiltrator substitute fake powder for real explosives, against the infiltrator's strong wishes (summary version is free; full version is pay-per-view)? Have you heard that the CIA is alleged to have met with Bin Laden two months before 9/11? Did you know that years after 9/11 the FBI first stated that it did not have sufficient evidence to prosecute Bin Laden for 9/11? The agency apparently still does not have any hard evidence linking Bin Laden to the crime (see also this partial confirmation by the Washington Post). And did you see the statement by the CIA commander in charge of the capture that the U.S. let Bin Laden escape from Afghanistan?

Have you heard that the anthrax attacks – which were sent along with notes purportedly written by Islamic terrorists – used a weaponized anthrax strain from the top U.S. bioweapons facility? Indeed, top bioweapons experts have stated that the anthrax attack may have been a CIA test "gone wrong." For more on this, see this article by a former NSA and naval intelligence officer and this statement by a distinguished law professor and bioterror expert (and this one).

It is also interesting that the only Congress-members mailed anthrax letters were key Democrats, and that the attacks occurred one week before passage of the freedom-curtailing PATRIOT Act, which seems to have scared them and the rest of Congress into passing that act without even reading it. And though it may be a coincidence, White House staff began taking the anti-anthrax medicine before the Anthrax attacks occurred.

Even General William Odom, former director of the National Security Agency, said "By any measure the US has long used terrorism. In ‘78-79 the Senate was trying to pass a law against international terrorism, yet in every version they produced, the lawyers said the US would be in violation" (the audio is here).

Why Does This Matter?

Please read what the following highly respected people are saying:

Former prominent Republican U.S. Congressman and CIA official Bob Barr stated that the U.S. is close to becoming a totalitarian society and that the Bush administration used fear to try to ensure that this happened. Current Republican U.S. Congressman Ron Paul stated that the government "is determined to have martial law." He also said a contrived "Gulf of Tonkin-type incident may occur to gain popular support for an attack on Iran." Former National Security Adviser Brzezinski told the Senate that a terrorist act might be carried out in the U.S. and falsely blamed on Iran to justify war against that nation.

The former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan administration, Paul Craig Roberts, who is called the "Father of Reaganomics" and is a former editor and columnist for the Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, and Scripps Howard News Service, has said:

"Ask yourself: Would a government that has lied us into two wars and is working to lie us into an attack on Iran shrink from staging 'terrorist' attacks in order to remove opposition to its agenda? ... If the Bush administration wants to continue its wars in the Middle East and to entrench the 'unitary executive' at home, it will have to conduct some false flag operations that will both frighten and anger the American people and make them accept Bush's declaration of 'national emergency' and the return of the draft. Alternatively, the administration could simply allow any real terrorist plot to proceed without hindrance."

General Tommy Franks stated that if another terrorist attack occurs in the United States "the Constitution will likely be discarded in favor of a military form of government." Daniel Ellsberg, the famous Pentagon Papers whistleblower, said "if there is another terror attack, I believe the president will get what he wants. And what he wants is a new Patriot Act, one that will make the current Patriot Act look like the Bill of Rights."

Former UN Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter stated before the Iraq war started that there were no weapons of mass destruction. He is now saying that he would not rule out staged government terror by the U.S. government. And British Parliament Member George Galloway stated that "there is a very real danger" that the American government will stage a false flag terror attack in order to justify war against Iran and to gain complete control domestically.

The abundance of reliable information in this essay suggests that not only has the U.S. in the past conducted false flag operations, but there is a possibility that 9/11 involved some element of this deceit, and a future false flag operation cannot be ruled out. Let us spread this news to all who care so that we might build the critical mass necessary to stop these secret operations and work together for a more caring civil society.
